I am doing my PhD at the Social, Cognitive, and Affective Neuroscience Unit at the Department for Cognition, Emotion, and Methods in Psychology of the University of Vienna, but received the opportunity for an abroad research stay at the Social Brain Lab to conduct an additional project. In my PhD, I investigate the neural underpinnings of empathy and prosocial behavior in the domain of pain in humans. In order to study these processes, I use behavioral experiments combined with fMRI and physiology. In general, I am a huge open science enthusiast and love science communication.
