About Francesca

I am a PhD student in Cognitive Science at San Raffaele University, I’m currently in visiting at the NIN. My primary focus revolves around studying the sleep brain through EEG, both in healthy and unhealthy subjects. I’d like to explore consciousness states from wakefulness to sleep, with a specific emphasis on understanding the nuances of the dreaming phenomenon. Presently, my PhD project delves into investigating  Sleep Reactivity in healthy subjects with and without insomnia symptoms. Additionally, I’m going to contribute to a project that explores sensory perception mechanisms in wakefulness and dreaming using high-density EEG.
