About Tamara

Tamara Buijs is a postdoctoral researcher in the department of Synapse and Network Development. She uses simultaneous patch clamp electrophysiology and synapse calcium imaging to study the fundamental logic of fine-scale connectivity in the developing visual cortex, and what goes wrong in neurodevelopmental disorders such as Autism Spectrum Disorder. She is particularly interested in the role of the endoplasmic reticulum in synapse plasticity.
