About Kieran

Kieran Higgins was born and raised in California and left for Scotland to complete a master’s at the University of Glasgow. In Glasgow, Kieran worked in the group of Julia Edgar and discovered his passion for myelin.

Kieran is now perusing a PhD in Kole Group and uses live two photon imaging to shed light on microglia interactions with myelinated axons. Kieran works to better understand endocannabinoid lipid metabolism in the context of remyelination.
