I have a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and am currently pursuing a MSc in Brain and Cognitive Sciences at the University of Amsterdam. I am currently an intern in the Keysers Group at the Social Brain Lab, supervised by Ákos Babiczky.
The project investigates the neural circuits involved in observational fear learning and focuses on mapping the connectivity of Anterior Cingulate Cortex (ACC) neurons activated during shock observation. By selectively labeling these neural engrams with a light- and calcium-dependent system, we can trace their input and output connections, aiming to uncover the role of ACC networks in processing social fear and empathy-related behaviors.
