About Chaitanya

I’m from India and grew up in Dubai, and Amsterdam is the seventh city I’ve lived in, which has made me highly adaptable to diverse and ever-changing environments. I completed my Bachelor’s in Engineering, specializing in Biotechnology, in Fall 2023 and I’m currently pursuing an MSc in Brain and Cognitive Sciences (Behavioral Neuroscience track) at the University of Amsterdam. For my final internship, I have joined the Verhaagen lab, where I am working on characterizing novel BBB-crossing capsids in EAE mouse models of MS. I aspire to leverage my engineering background and research experience in neuroscience to contribute to the healthcare sector.

Outside the lab, you’ll find me cooking and walking around Amsterdamse Bos!
